Sunday Snapshot: {Luna}

We've had a visitor this week. MJ's class "pet," Luna, has come to spend time with our family. This afternoon, we'll be adding all of these pictures, plus a couple, to her journal before she returns to preschool on Monday. MJ has had to wait quite awhile for her turn for Luna. That's what happens when your last name comes fairly near the end of the alphabet.

Here is Luna after her arrival. She had to borrow MJ's shades so she could live up to her "star" status. As you can see, Luna even travels with her own bed. (I have to point out that another student's grandmother made brand new bedding for Luna's bed recently. I'm impressed. I am not sewing-inclined.)

Soon after that, Luna was guest of honor at a tea party...

And here is Luna wondering if frogs can come to Vacation Bible School this summer...

And here is MJ with a Luna hat...

We even managed to find a suitable night shirt for Luna, although some of our neighbors may disagree since we live in Gator Country...

Luna went to Missions Class at church on Wednesday...

She played outside...

She was going with MJ and K to their first swimming lesson of the year, but the lesson was canceled. That was a real bummer...

Luna went to the sitters' house while Mama and Daddy went on a much needed date night...

She went to lunch with us and our friends. (I think she likes chips and salsa mixed with cheese dip.)...

And she was with us when we brought home our "new to us" sandbox...

And, finally, Luna went to church with us this morning, all dressed up to match MJ and K...

Where she sang hymns (note that MJ is holding her up where she can read the powerpoint on the screen)...

And participated in the Children's Sermon...

We've had a lot of fun with Luna!

  1. That's so so sweet! Truth be told, both dh and I have our beloved lovies in our bedroom. It's been along while since they were cuddled, but they are there, and remind our kiddos, that a long while ago, we were kiddos too.
Luna and MJ together are adorable!

  3. I'm so glad the class pet has her own bed! It's so much more convenient. (I always had a hard time convincing my daughter that sleeping with the visiting class pet was not the best idea!) Looks like Luna had a great visit at your house. And the matching dress for church was so cute!

  4. MJ's teacher is actually very deliberate about washing Luna between student visits, so we weren't too worried about that part. I think Luna has been in MJ's bed more than her own.

  5. How fun! I brought home my 1st grade class pet guinea pig one weekend and my sister got it out and slept with it. Luckily Flower (a real class pet)survived a night in my sister's pillow case...
